I was completing the end of the Chaconne in my final masterclass with Gérard Poulet when he announced he had to leave early for an important meeting, but I continued playing to the end for the audience in the Bach Museum Sommersaal. When the staff arrived to take Gérard to the meeting they told me I was coming too, and before I knew it I was playing here in the Altes Rathaus, Leipzig, solo violin to demonstrate to the assembled audience; violin and harpsichord with Menno van Delft and violin and piano with Angela Hewitt!
